HopeFest, an annual event that is a collaboration of helping agencies, organizations and individuals that served over 15,000 people last year by providing free groceries, dental services, medical services, clothing, haircuts, lunch, prayer and other helping services.  HopeFest has been in existence for 17 consecutive years and is well recognized in the community.

HopeFest is all about partnership.  The development of partnerships and collaborations are made through establishing relationships with those leaders and organizations who share our same mission in serving the underserved. HopeFest brings together government, nonprofits, community organizations and churches to effectively work in concert to do good for those in need.

Here are the services that were provided last year:

• Dental – over 500 were given free dental care (cleaning, fillings, extractions, dentures)
• Medical screening – over 700 were screened for blood pressure, glucose testings, eye and ear tests and 500 flu shots were administered
• Clothing – over 15,000 pounds of clothing and accessories were distributed
• Bulk food – over 1,500 bags of groceries distributed
• Hygiene items – 25 pallets of hygiene items distributed
• Lunch – over 5,000 hot dogs and drinks were served during the event
